An easy update

Cons:
Inherited an old greenhouse on a property we purchased in 2013 - never used the greenhouse until now. Had the same model thermostat but, given years of neglect/nonuse, decided to replace it with an identical model. Installation was done by our electrician but I can say it's been up and running, with excellent thermostatic control.

I have purchased this thermostat to replace one that no longer would work. The piece came to my house quickly and was exactly what I needed to replace the thermostat that did not work. The instructions were accurate and easily understood and the repair was made in less than a half hour.

Had your heat thermostat for over 50 years in my home 10x17 foot greenhouse. I just had to replace it with the same product model. That should speak for itself!

Pros:
Cons:
Great design. Simple weather proof mechanical thermostat that does not require power for it to operate. Can be used with line voltage or low voltage. Three screw type with a common and one normally closed and one normally open contact so it can be used for heating or cooling. Has a good seal on the plastic hinged door to keep moisture out. Door is clear plastic so temperature setting can be viewed with door closed.

I wanted to like this control, but I never could get it to come on at the right temperature. I had to set it about 8 degrees higher than what I wanted which was OK with me as long as it was consistent. The other problem I had was the cover for the dial would not stay closed. Water ended up collecting inside of the box. At that point I had enough. I called ACF, and they recommended the surestat ts110 model instead which was completely waterproof. I got that and a refund for the price difference. Got to hand it to them. This one works perfect and saved me some $$$!
