Recently I installed an ACF Premium Plug-In Exhaust Fan System P1620 in a greenhouse. Product came promptly. The plug-in system assembled as designed. The weather here is not hot yet & the size of system is fine. I could venture to say I may be adding a 2nd system for hotter weather to move more air.
One challenge I'm having is with the fan shutter as it is not intentionally controlled. It's held open when the fan runs, otherwise it flaps and flaps from the wind. I'm told in the the colder season these shutters are going to have to stay shut. Initially, I may try & create some type of return spring that will pull the shutter shut but the fan can still blow open. A more positive control option here would be to add a damper motor for shutter control as is installed on the intake shutters. It could be plugged into the power strip also.
ACF Greenhouses: We recommend adding a
Fan Weather Hood to the fan if you are having trouble with wind blowing the louvers open.
