The exhaust fans were fine. However, the motor for the intake shutters did not seem to match. First, the motor box said it was a Dayton motor. It wasn't. Then, the motor has two mounting bolts, but the shutter was drilled for only one. We had to alter the shutter and drill another hole to make the motor fit. Third, the attachment from the motor to the shutter was not right. It bound on the motor and the shutter. We had to alter it as well to make it work. Installing the first motor took over 3 hours before I got it to work properly.

ACF Greenhouses: I’m sorry to hear you had so much trouble installing the shutter motor. It sounds like you did not receive the installation instructions we provide at https://www.acfgreenhouses.com/shared/files/D8011-Shutter-Ins.pdf . There should have been a copy in a red envelope with your order. It would have saved you a lot of installation time. These motors are made for the Dayton brand shutters, but they work with many different ones that have slightly different installs depending on the shutter size and style. That is why we provide additional instructions to make assembly easier for the customer.
Great for its purpose.

The motor is easy to install - as long as you remember to put the bolt up through the hole in the louver frame before you install the louver. My only complaint is the length of the cord. I wanted to run the fan and and the motor off the same thermostat so they would be assured of coming on at the same time. Unfortunately, the short cord on the motor required an extension cord to reach the thermostat - even in my tiny 6'x8' greenhouse. But, once everything was plugged up, it all works great.
Great shutter motor, But a couple small issues

This is a great shutter opener, but mine came with a poorly cut linkage end section that had a fraction of a shaving of metal on the end cut next to the screw hole where it supposed to be attached to the shutter, also the plug that screws in to cover the cut wires where a plug in cord would have been attached was not attached so wires were exposed without protection. I wondered what was missing till i saw the picture online. Knew something wasnt right. Hoping they will send these parts then Ill give it the 5 stars it deserves.

ACF Greenhouses: I'm sorry you had parts issues. Replacements are on the way!

These motors are much nicer than the ones I used to have on my shutters. They are so quiet. I didn't realize how loud of a humming sound the other ones made until I replaced one. Now I am going to replace the other one so I can get rid of that sound completely.
